Cape Breton University- MBA - Online

The Cape Breton University (CBU) MBA in Community Economic Development (CED) is now available anywhere you live and work, online and on weekends, reaching every community in Canada.

With classes scheduled for about 16 weekends a year over a 2-year period, the MBA in CED online format caters to working professionals who need the flexibility to balance work, family, and studies.

All courses are delivered on weekends by acclaimed faculty from all across Canada, allowing you to advance your career while continuing to work by earning your MBA degree in 24-26 months.

Classes are delivered synchronously, and there are two virtual cohorts to choose from: one in the Eastern Time Zone (ETZ), and one in the Mountain Time Zone (MTZ).  Choose the time zone that best meets your needs.

Weekend classes are scheduled as follows, for both the Eastern and Mountain time zones:

  • Friday evening 5:30 pm to 9 pm
  • Saturday 9 am to 5 pm
  • Sunday morning 9 am to 12:30 pm

The ETZ begins in January of each year (subject to enrolment) and the MTZ cohort begins each September (subject to enrolment).

This program is accessible for both business and non-business degree holders, as well as applicants who have significant managerial experience without a degree background.  To find out if you qualify for admission and a GMAT waiver, send your resume and unofficial transcript(s) to mba@cbu.ca
